Pita chips are easy to make…and of course when making your own, you can tailor them to your own taste. Love butter? Use melted butter instead of olive oil. Love garlic? Sprinkle garlic salt instead of sea salt. Not wild about paprika? Substitute cayenne for a hot kick…or chili powder if it’s a mexican fiesta. You can even brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar for a dessert dip of melted chocolate.
Parmesan Pita Chips
Ingredients:
- pita
- sea salt or garlic salt
- paprika
- melted butter or olive oil
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheet with parchment.
Cut each pita into bite-size wedges, usually 8 per pita bread. Arrange on cookie sheet.
Brush with oil or melted butter. Sprinkle with the seasoning of your choice. I’ve also added grated parmesan here.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10 minutes until crisp and golden.
